Pattie Chelseth
Shepherdess
One of the three sisters, she writes the farm journal and is the named contact for the raw milk herd share.
My Sisters' Farm is a 10 acre biodynamic farm in Shingle Springs, California with Icelandic sheep, pastured hens and a Raw Milk Institute listed raw milk cow share.
My Sisters' Farm is a 10 acre farm in the foothills east of Sacramento, at Shingle Springs, run by three sisters: Pattie, Valerie and Janet.
They started with Icelandic sheep, a heritage triple purpose breed kept for wool, meat and milk, then added Royal Palm turkeys and Brahma and Buff chickens. The flocks graze on pasture with supplemental organic feeds, and the brown eggs come from hens that roam the farm by day and are shut in at night only to keep them safe from predators. The sisters work with biodynamic composting methods and aim for a farm where the animals live an organic and natural life, and they built it around day jobs as a firefighter, a sheriff deputy and a nurse practitioner.
Milk here works as a herd share. The farm does not sell milk to the public, and the raw milk from the privately owned herd goes only to the people who co-own it. My Sisters' Farm has been a listed farm with the Raw Milk Institute since 2014. Alongside the cow shares, the farm marketplace carries free range eggs, Icelandic sheepskin pelts, sheep products and registered animals, and the sisters run farm memberships and classes, the first of which was felting. At the heart of the land is the Willow Tree Grotto beside the farm's large pond, with a flow form fountain and a view over the lake and the old oaks.

Absolutely loved my visit to My Sister’s farm! Patty was so welcoming! You can really tell she cares about what she does. A hidden gem in Shingle Springs for sure! I highly recommend stopping by!
My sister’s farm is amazing. A friend and I purchased a pig from the farm. We were able to determine what cuts of pork we wanted and how many (within a reasonable amount). I mean let’s be serious, I would have ordered all bacon if it was an option 😂😂. Every cut was perfect. We truly appreciate the care that was taken with our order.
Pattie is the nicest farmer I have ever met! She is so thoughtful, and provides the freshest hand-picked eggs and veggies I've ever had. My Sister's Farm has their own logo on all their egg cartons which I love and they taste so much better than anywhere else!
We finally got the rare opportunity to see the process of milking a goat and a cow! Patty is the sweetest most kindest soul who loves sharing the process (which is quite rare to come across these days). Meeting genuine people along our travels is always a blessing and goes to show there are loving, kind and welcoming people on this planet. Thank you for your generosity.....we will be back! 😊🙏
