The Dorset Meat Company is an online butcher based at Henstridge that sources from small family farms in Dorset, Somerset and Wiltshire.
Its lamb and beef are 100% grass fed and raised on natural pastures full of wild grasses, flowers and herbs, then hung on the bone for three weeks and hand trimmed by the company's master butchers.
Alongside beef and lamb there is free range pork and chicken, venison and wild game, sustainable fish, cheese and a full deli range, sold as individual cuts or meat boxes. Everything is ordered online, with delivery every Sunday, free delivery over £75 and click and collect available too.

Fantastic service..excellently packaged..arrived when it was supposed too..best of all the lamb shanks I ordered tasted phenomenal..also the blackcurrant vingar wow..one small issue that could have been a bigger issue if I hadn't noticed before they thawed the beef stock was leaking 2 out of the 3 bags I'd ordered had holes in them...apart from that top quality 😀

I have been buying your meat for a little while now which has been great. The beef and pork are great. Unfortunately, since my first order of the chicken strips they have deteriorated in quality. the last ones I ordered (2 packs), are hard tough and tasteless. I have tenderised them but to no affect. The previous chicken smelt like wonderful fresh well bred chicken. This does not. Sadly I am giving the rest to my dog.

I’ve used Dorset Meat company for around four years and the quality of the meat they supply is, simply, outstanding. The order arrives well chilled, whether it’s hot or cold, there are always ice packs within the foil bag holding the meat. Despatch is prompt with DOD providing reliable next day service and it’s free for orders over a reasonable amount. All meats are vacuum sealed and well labelled, so ideal for immediate freezing or keep in the fridge until ready. Their service is second to none; personal via a phone call if, exceptionally they have to offer a substitute. And the meat tastes the way meat used to taste. Great flavour, appropriate fat content and it cooks to perfection. I have no hesitation in recommending this supplier for all your needs. Just look at these bangers; meaty, well seasoned and they’re not floating in fat during cooking. Superb.
We got delivered our grass fed meat pack Friday, all packed inside a box with cool packs. The beef burgers we ate last night were delicious. They tasted so much better compared to normal supermarket burgers. It was good to have meat that had flavour. We can highly recommend this company.
