WHY SUPPER CLUBS?

You book, you eat, you pay, you leave. The kitchen is something you rarely see, and the person at the next table can stay a stranger all evening.

Ask where the beef was raised or what’s in season, and you’ll rarely get much of an answer. Not because anyone is hiding anything, but because the food system has created distance between the people who grow our food and the people who eat it.

And at the beginning of that journey is a farmer, raising the animals, growing the vegetables, working the land and loading the van. Their food can travel miles before it reaches your plate, and they may never see the people eating it.

A farmer can spend a year growing something extraordinary, then watch it leave the farm without ever seeing it shared around a table.

We want to change that.

At one of our supper clubs, you eat at the farm where the food was grown, with the farmer who grew it. You hear the stories behind the ingredients, share the meal with people who care about where their food comes from, and talk about it together.

Because food tastes different when you know where it came from and who grew it.

WHY WE’RE DOING THIS

We’re spending more and more of our lives apart from each other and further from the food and land that sustain us.

We think there’s another way.

A long table at the source, where the farmer who grew the food, the person who cooked it and the people eating it can all come together. A meal shared. Stories exchanged. New friendships made. That’s the kind of community we want to build and it starts by gathering around a table at the source.
