Rainshadow Organics is a family farm in Sisters, in central Oregon, farming since 1972.
The farm grows vegetables and grains and produces grass-finished beef and raw milk, with a small dairy herd grazed on organic cover crops that rest and feed the soil between harvests.
Food is sold through CSA farm shares, at farmers markets and from the farm store, which opens on Friday from 11am to 5pm and Saturday from 9am to 3pm. Raw milk is available through a herdshare, where members buy a share of the dairy herd and collect milk weekly, and the farm also hosts events and weddings through the year.

Just did a WWOLF volunteer at the farm. Beautiful and healthy farm. Thanks Saralee and Locavore for an opportunity to see where good food starts. Also went home with two complimentary stalks of amazing garlic pulls. Great company. Store is a nice one!
The food is incredible, their vision is profound and something so tangible that our family can do to live our values and love and care for our community and planet!
Wonderful food grown by wonderful people! I love the option of a winter CSA in central OR and feel good about what my family eats.
We stopped in Rainshadow Organics on the way back from a hike - it was our first time and it was unbelievable how welcoming Melissa, Julia and everyone in there were. The products sold, the explanation of the CSA and the different programs they have was outstanding. We are so excited to know that we have Rainshadow Organics in our backyard. Thank you. We’ll be back. 🙌🏻❤️ Amy Renalds & Brad Pertner.
Looks really awesome.
I can’t say enough about what a great experience we had with our wedding/birthday party at Rainshadow Organics! It is a lovely setting, with dinner tables decorated with flowers from the surrounding gardens and space for dancing nearby. Our guests commented over and over again about what a beautiful place it was and especially cool that it is also a working farm. Parking is easy, the bar set up worked well, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. The chefs accommodated our various dietary needs to make sure everyone had a meal they could enjoy, the food was bountiful, and the presentation was gorgeous. Mel, the event coordinator, is a jewel. She was very responsive to our questions, always following up our phone calls with an email to confirm next steps. She helped us think through how to accommodate the 20+ children who attended. (She even set up the tent we brought to provide a quiet space for kids to hang out.) There were many thoughtful touches we hadn’t asked for – a lovely chalkboard welcoming guests into the event, name cards at each place, a bottle of bubbles at each kid’s spot. Mel was always upbeat and happy to help with whatever we needed. She worked seamlessly with our vendors (DJ, portapotty rental, table/chair rental, etc.) so that I didn’t need to be there when items were dropped off and picked up. During the actual event, whenever I thought of something to check on, Mel was already there before me, taking care of it. She made our party easy and fun. Thank you, Rainshadow, for an AMAZING event!
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

1) used to have a chef cook for lunch. It was so delicious. Now is ok, I had tacos last time. It was very salty. 2) eggs, veggies and meat … are fresh but a little pricey. But I still buy them / eggs and vegetables just because they are not fresh and delicious. 3) they have events, dinner at the farm where locals can sign up online. 4) there chickens /hens are running around the field and even on the road. Hope no one run them over.
