Excellent experience! Went with my family for my grandsons 2 year Birthday. Lots of friendly animals. Chickens, goats, cows and friendly dogs. They also sell eggs and they have bees so she makes things from the different animals. Including honey, candles and much more!
Everyone needs a farm experience! This experience left me with a smile for days. If you're ever in the Portland metro area or the foothills of Mount Hood, do yourself a favor and visit the Jones Homestead. Tour a small, working dairy farm where you can taste fresh milk straight from the cow, collect eggs from the sassy hens, and soak up all the love from the sweetest goats. At the end of the tour, you'll step inside the home built by Charlie's grandfather and enjoy what I can only describe as a little slice of heaven. You'll be treated to creamy farm-fresh yogurt drizzled with farm honey, the most delicious sourdough banana bread made with freshly milled flour, Charlie's incredible farm-fresh butter, and a glass of raw milk. Every bite is simple, wholesome, and unforgettable. This is what's been missing from so many of our lives. Charlie's passion for farming and sharing this lifestyle is absolutely contagious, and I'm so grateful she's opened her farm and heart to others. Whether you're looking for a unique date, a fun alternative to a traditional girls' night out, a memorable family outing, or a special mommy-and-me adventure, this is an experience you'll be talking about long after you leave. I can't recommend it enough!
Highly highly recommend stopping at this homestead if you're visiting the area. Super interactive, fun, and conscientious experience. Charlie was incredibly informative. She's amazing with the animals and making sure guests understood the rules to make the day fun for everyone (cows and goats included). Our group had some kids and Charlie made sure to keep them included. Lot of different animals on the farm, had so much fun I didn't even catch pictures of them all! Luckily Charlie was around to capture pictures of the day. Learned a ton about how the homestead is run and there's fun souvenirs and gifts you can bring home. Highly recommend!

Charlie provides a unique experience and wonderful insight into the life of a homesteader. She is so dynamic and knowledgeable. I worried that being there as an adult (without children with me), would be awkward 😂, but visiting Jones Homestead is a fantastic experience for adults, children, young, old, city slickers, and farmers alike. Charlie welcomes all (and no judgement if you gorge yourself on cream and honey). Learning how to milk a cow was humbling, hilarious, and happy all at once. I can’t recommend visiting Jones Homestead enough! I think I’m going to have my 50th birthday party there 🥳. And….. my dog Gus was welcomed too. This was a joy and I think he had even more fun than I did!
Charlie and the farm are AMAZING. So much fun and it’s way more than just milking Hazel! Get 4 of your friends, kids or family and book it!
We had the best time touring this small family homestead and learning about homesteading & farm things, including how to milk a cow!!! 😃😁🐮🐂 the owner Charlie is so knowledgeable, kind, and friendly, and the animals are so well cared for! We also got to pet a 4-day old calf 🥹😍 highly recommend for anyone living/visiting near the Portland area, or if you're passing through on your way to mount Hood!!!
We had the privilege of staying at this unique homestead Airbnb last night, and what an experience it was! 🥳The hosts were incredibly warm and welcoming, generously sharing their vast knowledge about the homestead lifestyle. One of the highlights was being invited to sample their homemade yogurt, milk, and honey. 😋I highly recommend purchasing some of the honey and yogurt - they were delectably fresh and flavorful. 🥰For anyone looking to take a break from the hustle and bustle of city life, this place is a perfect haven. Highly recommend!😇(I should take more photos!!)
