Benedikt Dairy is a small farm in Goffstown, New Hampshire run by Max and Melissa, milking Jersey cows fed on a diet of grass and herbs.
The raw milk shares the farm stand fridge with cream, ice cream and grass fed meat raised on the land, and the farm grows vegetables and flowers as well.
Much of the produce can be had by subscription, with raw milk, raw cream and vegetable CSA shares to sign up for, plus whole pigs for the freezer. The farm stand on Shirley Hill Road is open seven days a week, and there is pick your own in season too.

We love them as CSA and supporting other local businesses with high quality products!
Me and my wife were excited to get raw milk from Jersey cows because we researched how creamy and delicious it was plus the health benefits of raw milk. We put milk in our coffee to reduce our saturated fat intake from cream or half and half. 1 quart of milk was $11.00 (with a $2.00 bottle deposit) 1 QUART. When we tried it, it tasted just like the barn from whence we bought it from. Not appealing whatsoever. We weren't too concerned because it was for our coffee mostly. The next morning when we put it in our coffee, we expected a rich creamy color to it. Well the coffee stayed a pretty dark color, much darker than when we put the same amount of grocery store whole milk into it. Before you think we didn't shake the bottle, we did, vigorously. When we tasted the coffee, we could HARDLY taste ANY cream in it. It was like we put in 1%. Yes, we did put in the same amount of milk we put in from the grocery store. (if you're wondering) Why wasn't this supposedly WHOLE milk creamy? Why was grocery store whole milk twice or even three times creamier? Well then we remembered the OTHER dairy products they sell. Ice CREAM, and cream in pint size bottles. Where do they get the CREAM for those products? Well it's obvious, they SKIM their "whole milk!" They do not tell you that you're getting skimmed milk when you buy it for a hefty price either. They sell it as WHOLE milk. It's far from whole. Like I said the grocery store stuff was THREE times creamier. This is FALSE advertising and basically STEALING from the consumer. Buyer beware. I returned my bottles for the deposit and will NEVER go back there AGAIN.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Great milk! and many other products. Raw milk from Jersey cows is the way to go. Boil it about 10 to 15 minutes and enjoy the real nutritions not synthetic vitamins added to pasteurized milk. BTW, neither myself or my family got sick from real milk!!
Charming local farm with excellent ice cream. Stopped by Benedikt Dairy while I was in the area. Not far from Manchester, though it did require a small detour down local roads. The setup was modest: a small parking area next to a barn (no signage, so keep your eyes open), and inside, you’ll find a tiny self-serve store and a petting area with young calves. Like many small New England farms, Benedikt runs on an honor system and membership model. Shoppers pay at the counter, and members get access to additional dairy selections from a separate fridge. For casual visitors like me—just looking for something to enjoy on the spot—the offerings were limited, but I came specifically for the ice cream. I picked up a couple of small cups: vanilla and mango lassi. They didn’t have spoons available, so unless you keep one in your car, be prepared to wait for it to melt a bit. Still, once the vanilla softened, it was phenomenal. Possibly the best I’ve had in New England. Soft, creamy, with just the right hint of iciness to make it refreshing and satisfying.
I came to the US 2 years ago and this is the best dairy I have had since. The farm is very nice and clean. Great selection of vegetables, fruits and dairy products. The milk is high in fat and it makes great homemade cottage cheese. And I really like the idea that they reuse glass bottles.
This is seriously the best place in NH to get local, raw dairy products. This heavy cream is beyond good! I made a creme brûlée with it and it was the creamiest and most delicious creme brûlée I've ever made. Support your local farmers--it's true that things grown locally with love makes a huge difference in quality and flavor. Also, the owners and employees at Benedikt are awesome, caring people. Know your farmers, and support local.
