Baird Farm is a family farm in North Chittenden, Vermont, best known for its organic maple syrup and now also a source of grass fed beef.
The cattle belong to Jamie Hamilton of Hamilton Cattle Company, a neighbour and friend of the family, and the herd grazes the farm's fields from late April to December before wintering on hay.
The farm store sells individual beef cuts, from steaks and flat irons to ground beef and stew meat, alongside the maple range, while Jamie takes orders for discounted bulk beef boxes by phone or email. The store is open every day except Tuesday, and farm tours can be booked by appointment.

Amazing quality syrup with a very expansive self service system if unmanned.
Great syrup. Ships fast. Our favorite by far. Great to do business with.
Very well stocked store and the staff are really cool.
**Outstanding Customer Service and Delicious Maple Syrup** From start to finish, my experience with Baird Farm was exceptional. I was ordering maple syrup online and was working against a tight deadline, as part of the order was intended for a friend who was traveling internationally. Unsure whether the shipment would arrive in time, I called Baird Farm and had the pleasure of speaking with Ms. Jenna. She encouraged me to go ahead and place the order and assured me that she would personally keep an eye out for it. True to her word, she promptly packaged the order and prepared it for shipment as soon as my order came through. Thanks to her thoughtfulness and attention to detail, the package arrived a day earlier than expected, allowing my friend to take the maple syrup with him to enjoy with his family halfway around the world. During our conversation, I also asked Ms. Jenna about the various grades of maple syrup and flavor profiles. She took the time to explain each one in detail, helping me choose the variety that would best suit our tastes. I truly appreciated that she never made me feel rushed and was happy to share her knowledge. As for the maple syrup itself, it certainly lived up to its reputation. My friend and his family absolutely loved it and have already said they plan to purchase more on their next visit to the United States. My family and I tried the **Amber Rich** syrup, and it was outstanding—delicious, rich, smooth, and perfectly balanced in sweetness. It was everything we imagined it would be. In summary, Baird Farm offers not only a truly exceptional product but also outstanding customer service. It's refreshing to find a business that takes such pride in both the quality of its products and the experience it provides its customers. I look forward to ordering again once we've finished our current bottles.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Great products at a great price and value…..you can tell they pour their soul into what they do and produce. Seeing it first hand gives you an appreciation like none other.
Me and my wife had an awesome and super great time on the tour. Jacob was so hilarious and he’s truly a cornucopia of knowledge… as I told him. We were so shocked about how intricate the whole system is. And then we got to sample all the syrups at the end and they were absolutely amazing… We bought so many. Thee spruce one really stood out. I just had it with a cheddar & bacon waffle tonight. We also got some free magnets and lots of little recipes and stuff at the store at the end which our friends loved, including the little bottles of syrup that we got for them as souvenirs.
We did the tour. It was amazing! Great information! I knew nothing about maple syrup production coming from Texas. Our tour guide was amazing, communicative and informative. You should take advantage of this tour if in the area. There is a lot more to it than one would think. We had the opportunity to taste the different flavors, they were all dandy but a little different. I chose this due to it sharing my last name. Not related, I asked. I did pick up quite a few jugs to send home to family.
Jenna, Jacob, and Bob welcomed my university class from Wisconsin with open arms. Jacob gave us an amazing tour explaining all aspects of their farm and general information about maple syrup. They took time out of their very busy schedule to meet with us. 5 stars is not enough. If you are in Vermont check this place out for the tour alone. Their syrup is also incredible. They all are amazing people and my class could not stop taking about our time on the farm!
My family had a blast at Baird Farm! We are maple enthusiasts, and had been on a lot of maple sugaring tours, but this was hands down the best! Jenna was so sweet and wonderful and clearly loves what she does. She was an amazing tour guide!! The store was small but well stocked and we were able to buy everything we needed (and then some!). If you’re in the area, you MUST add Baird Farm to your list! I hope to be back one day!
Baird Farm was a great find and a highlight of our first trip to Vermont. So glad we found them! Jenna & Jacob were great hosts taking time explaining the history and aspects of the their beautiful maple syrup farm. We loved their yummy products especially their vintage style maple syrup cans. We had 12 cans shipped home! The BEST maple syrup ever!!
