Wonderful place. I'm a regular and very happy customer every time I shop at Silcocks. Pleasant, polite and very helpful staff in the butchery and the cafe. A lovely quiet spot mid-week too. Plenty of outdoor seat with umbrellas. The meat is always outstanding. If you want your choice or cuts, arrived early. It's also dog and child friendly. They also have events on throughout the year. Follow their Facebook page.
Nicely presented but with two problems. Firstly it's heavily overpriced, ie local sparkling wine £28. 2nd and more important problem especially if you have a food allergy, is that they do not list all of the ingredients. I was looking at the burgers thinking that some farm fresh burgers would be nice for tonight's bbq. I checked for gluten, and gluten containing ingredients and was pleasantly surprised to see no red flags. However, talking to the staff it turns out they DO contain gluten for binding it's just not listed on the ingredients!! Both irresponsible and dangerous, makes me wonder what else they're hiding.
Great Farm Shop and Cafe in very quiet peaceful countryside. Friendly staff. We bought some burgers that look great. Also going to buy some of the steak which looks amazing. The least that we can do when we get to stay in our camper van through the Brit stops Web site. Coombe Farm trout fly fishery a stones throw. Tenterden, a lovely village nearby. Loving van life. Russ.
First mistake, never turn off for a roadside sign. 2) Remember it's a Monday (no opening hours were on sign!). 3) It's bound to be a country mile if the distance is not provided. 4) Give up if no confirmation signs provided. 5) Don't be pissed when you break your own rules. Such a shame I am sure I would have given 5 stars had it have been open.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

We've had breakfast here for the first time today. First class produce, great coffee and friendly helpful staff. We'll definitely be back 🥰
Great cycling stop. Easy to park your bike, on a good route, and lovely tea & cake. Friendly staff. Meat looks good too.
Great place for cyclist, quite safe as you take your bike inside the grounds. Good coffee and apparently, great food. Eat on the garden area o, this a sheltered next too but not close, the toilet.
Great Christmas market event. Lovely friendly staff and scrumptious food in their cafe. Wonderful local shop selling quality locally sourced, produced and grown produce.
Met some friends for coffee and had lovely time in friendly atmosphere. The scone was very good and the shop was interesting with fresh produce. There is a car park so easy to park and a ramp up to shop so easy access for anyone disabled. They sell a good range of plants.
