Laurel Ridge Farm raises 100% grass fed beef in Litchfield, Connecticut.
The cattle live on grass through the growing season and on hay cut from the farm's own fields in the colder months, with no grain or corn ever, and the farm raises pastured pork as well.
Beef is sold by the cut, from filet mignon and ribeye to ground beef, stew meat, short ribs and bones, alongside pork chops, bacon, ham and sausages. Buy retail at the farm on Sunday between 12pm and 2pm, or arrange a bulk order, and wholesale enquiries are welcome too.

I along with a friend purchased a whole cow from this farm. Our experience from beginning to end was horrible. John and his son were so rude to us. We drove over an hour to pick up our order and spent over $5, 000 which we expected. We did not expect to be met with so much rudeness. I will never purchase from this farm again. Edited to add, John did spend time reviewing the cut sheet with me after I had to ask him to stop being rude, to be patient with us as we have never purchased a whole cow before. Let's start with the fact that, John admitted his price sheet is over 10yrs old on the website. That was a red flag that I ignored. My friend attempted to reach John to review the cut sheet. She couldn't reach him, so she called Plymouth. John was angry that she did that and asked how she got their contact info. I had to remind him, that it was on the cut sheet. On Tuesday 23rd, I texted and emailed him, asking when our order would be ready. His reply, either this week or next. Thursday 25th I just so happen to check my email, and he shares that our order is ready, its in the back of his Tesla and that it won't stay frozen forever, and we need to pick it up!!?? That we must get there before 6pm so that he can attend his BoE meeting. He then shared, his son can meet us, if we dont get to his farm on time. And there's another $40 processing fee. No advance notice of an additional fee. When we arrive to pick up, his son is rude, noting we should have called him, 30min in advance of our arrival! These men, went out of their way to communicate poorly, rudely and as if WE were doing them a favor. Worst experience ever.
I made a recent purchase of over $5, 000.00 with a few friend. The customer service was horrible. John and his son Dan seems to feel they were doing us a favor. According to him he's never had a complaint about his beef. However, I hadn't tried it yet. My complaint is about this communication with his customers. He refused to take accountability and responsible for his tone and lack of communication. I wouldn't recommend this farm nor would I ever shop there again.
Beautiful scenery.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Absolutely gorgeous!!
This is Not where the daffodils are. They are about a mile down the road on the left side. Look for all the cars parked on the road. It's called Laurel Ridge Daffodil Foundation. Sight is awesome.
I'm not familiar with flowers I called to find out s few things and the man I spoke to was very sarcastic questioning me if I know what kind of flowers they were, that I needed to look it up and learn from it. In addition he than state that they been gone since April. Good information to know but he was very rude and sarcastic horrible man.
I picked up a flank steak from here. Very very tender, juicy, great flavor. Support your local farmers!
