Whippoorwill Farm raises livestock on Salmon Kill Road in Lakeville, Connecticut, and sells its own meat from a small shop at the farm.
The freezers hold beef in everything from filet mignon to short ribs and oxtail, along with pork, bacon, smoked ham, and whole and half chickens from a heritage breed the farm rates for its flavour.
The shop is open year round on Fridays and Saturdays, 10am to 5pm, or by request at other times, and cards are accepted. Eggs, maple syrup and raw honey are usually on the shelves too, though stock shifts with what the farm has ready.

Great Beef and all products. We don't buy beef anywhere else. Just finished Sunday dinner. Made the Beef flap steak that Robin suggested to try. Unbelievably fantastic! Can't recommend them enough to people.
