Michaud Farms is a family farm on the high plains of southeast Wyoming at Pine Bluffs, started when the Michauds left careers in industrial food processing and social work to grow food their own way.
It is a genuinely mixed holding, with vineyards, orchards and pastures grazed in rotation by chickens, sheep, pigs and cattle, and the chickens patrol the vines picking off pests as they go.
The apiary keeps Carniolan honeybees, a hardy bee suited to Wyoming's tough winters, and their raw, unfiltered honey with its floral aroma sits at the centre of the farm's seasonal range alongside lamb and other meats. The farm is open daily, with delivery available too.
