Merton Dairy is a small raw milk dairy at Hawthorn Farm near Cambridge, milking Jersey cows kept calf at foot and once a day, selling raw Jersey milk plus eggs, pork, lamb and honey from the farm.
Merton Dairy is a small raw milk dairy run from Hawthorn Farm just outside Cambridge.
The Jersey cows are kept on a calf at foot system, so calves stay with their mothers and are not weaned until four to five months old, and the herd is milked just once a day so the cows are never overworked.
The raw Jersey milk is sold for collection only, straight from the farm. New customers are asked to get in touch first through the website, the farm's Facebook page, or by emailing or phoning Sarah at the dairy. Demand is strong and the dairy has at times been sold out of milk altogether, so check before you set off.
