Hooton's Homegrown is a family run farm and farm shop on Anglesey selling its own Welsh Black beef, home reared lamb and pork, free range chicken and seasonal fruit and vegetables.
Hooton's Homegrown is a family run farm on the Isle of Anglesey that has been growing and selling its own food for more than fifty years.
Michael and Rosalind Hooton built the business up from potatoes and cereals after they married in 1968, added pick your own strawberries in 1989, and opened the first farm shop in 1998. Welsh Black cattle, sheep, pigs and free range poultry were brought onto the farm to supply the butchery, and their sons Andrew and James now work the land alongside them.
There are two shops, one at Pringles in Llanfairpwllgwyngyll and one at the home farm in Brynsiencyn, both stocked with the family's own seasonal fruit and vegetables, Welsh Black beef, home reared lamb and pork and free range chicken. Alongside their own produce they carry local cheese, eggs, milk and veg from neighbouring farms, plus pies, oven ready meals, jams and chutneys made on site. The pick your own fields at Ffingar Farm open through the summer.

Lovely local farm shop - Good parking next to the train station with the lonest station name: 'Llanfairpwllgwyngyllgogerychwyrndrobwllllantysiliogogogoch' right next to James 'Pringles' Weavers - wool goods, gifts. Easy to get to from Bangor quick drive over to Anglesey. Friendly staff, very helpful, they do up produce hampers to suit every pocket, great for presents. Fresh produce grown on the farm. Loads of Welsh goods which we love. Bought a lovely chicken to cook and a home made lamb n leek pie which was delicious!

Lovely little shop with plenty of choice, just no alcohol, but still worth the visit and not over priced.
