Mahina Mele Farm is a family run certified organic farm in South Kona, Hawaii, growing 100% Kona coffee and macadamia nuts since 2005, with a farm shop in Kealakekua.
Mahina Mele Farm sits in South Kona on Hawaii Island, where Jason and Kollette Stith have farmed since 2005.
They grow 100% Kona coffee, sold as Kona Rose Coffee, alongside macadamia nuts and apple bananas in the volcanic soil of the Kona coffee belt. The coffee and the nuts are certified organic, and the family works to organic and Hawaiian Natural Farming methods, with an emphasis on healthy soil and respect for the land. Rather than roast their macadamias they dehydrate them, a process they developed themselves to keep the flavour and the oils intact.
The food is processed on the island. The farm presses its own organic macadamia nut oil, makes macadamia nut butters, and sells raw Hawaiian honey gathered where the ohia, macadamia, coffee and tropical fruit trees flower. Their shop, Mahina Mele Market, opened in Kealakekua in 2021 as both a production room and a place to buy the farm's food direct.

Fell in love with their dehydrated macadamia nuts 😍 You can try their coffee at the local coffee stand by the road that takes you to the shop if you’re driving from Kona.

Mahina Mele Market was one of our favorite stops on the Big Island. The market is filled with high-quality local products, Kona coffee, macadamia nut treats, skincare, gifts, and other unique items that truly showcase the island. Everything feels thoughtfully selected, and it’s a great place to support local businesses while finding things you won’t see in typical tourist shops. Kolette was incredibly friendly, welcoming, and personable. She took the time to answer questions, share recommendations, and made the entire experience feel warm and genuine. A special shoutout to the Pure Mana Radiant Glow body oil—it has been phenomenal after a day in the sun. It leaves your skin feeling incredibly soft and hydrated, and the scent is absolutely amazing. It’s one of those products you’ll wish you had discovered sooner. Whether you’re looking for gifts, local products, or just want to experience a little authentic aloha, Mahina Mele Market is well worth the stop. We’ll definitely be back on our next visit to the island.
