This store (though calling it only a store feels wrong) is magnificent. You get that warm beeswax/honey smell when you walk in, our kids love checking out the observational hive every time we come. Not only do they have fantastic honey and beeswax products (don’t sleep on the little wine offering either) but Phil and Meghan have given me the confidence to start keeping bees! Taking Phil’s class and talking through what we would need for hive supplies with Meghan, even being able to order packages of bees that are driven to Maine by these two lovely people, was just the right push to get us started this year. Our bees seem to be happy and thriving and anything that isn’t beginner’s luck can be attributed entirely to The Honey Exchange- we’ll see how we have fared next spring when I’ll be signing up for the sophomore beekeeping class!
We love their products and their support in the community. My son really enjoyed the educational program at his school.
Nicest people!! We stopped in on our way through portland returning from vacation. We have just started bee keeping at our plant nursery in New York. The owners were so helpful and took extra time out of their day to show us so many different things we would have never thought or known about. Their products are amazing and this place makes you feel like you’re in a real mom and pop American owned small business. Would highly recommend stopping in to say hi!!
What a lovely shop! Had heard good things from friends and stopped by. We definitely did not regret it! Great attention to detail not only in the products they sell but in the work that they do. You can really tell when a place is put together with intention and care and this is that! Highly recommend! 🐝💛🍯
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Very cute place with lots of goodies inside. They even had bees working away that you can look at through the glass. Super nice peeps too!
