Beautiful farm and the goats head cheese is divine! 🙂
I used to cook professionally for 15 years. Went to two culinary schools, one in Cali, one in Philly. Worked with famous Chefs from all over America. This is the best Goat Cheese I've ever had. This stuff is bonkers.
I went to the farm two weekends ago for goat milk and I had a wonderful experience. Pete was extremely helpful and kind. The milk was ready for me and they allowed me to see all of the goats and babies in the barn. I had such a nice time learning about all of the hard work that goes into raising these babies. Everyone was friendly and took the time to explain some of the daily work. I will definitely be going again soon.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up
Had the pleasure of staying here for 2 nights for his new camping sites. The owner is a repository of knowledge wrapped up in a friendly man who does his best to make sure your stay is as pleasant as possible. The goats, pigs, and other animals are also a wonderful sight to behold and most are pettable. Their goat milk and cheeses are delicious.
I can’t say enough good things about this farm. Their goat cheese and cheese spreads are all delicious. They also have other goat milk products like yogurt and Kiefer. Amazing!! Free range chickens and ducks provide blue/green/ brown eggs fresh daily. But what’s really special are the owners Pete and Jeanne. Such nice people. Stop out and visit and bring the kids for a tour!
ShellBark Hollows honey biscuit cheese is bursting with a wonderful honey taste and it is addictive! I am also in love with the Tomato Pesto Cherve, it is such a taste and satisfying spread! There is a store on property that is always open (honest policy) and the Goats are the sweetest girls! I had a great time doing the goat meditation also!
