It began in the first lockdown of 2020 as zero waste kits packed in a shed on Adlington Road, opened its shop on Palmerston Street in February 2022, and added a second shop with a deli on Knutsford Road in Wilmslow in February 2025. The Bollington shop is a retail space downstairs with a cafe and events room upstairs, home to seasonal supper clubs, fermentation workshops and pickle clubs.
Everything on the shelves is organic. Weekly veg boxes are published on Tuesday night and delivered free across Cheshire East every Tuesday, with Macclesfield grown beetroot, butterhead lettuce and rainbow chard alongside organic carrots, potatoes, squash and fruit.
