Tom's father arrived on the Rode Hall Estate as a tenant farmer in 1968 with 30 cows, and Tom farmed in the partnership that grew from that start before the couple formed Halton Farms Ltd in 2012.
In 2016 they opened The Milk Shack, where a vending machine sells raw milk alongside pasteurised milk, milkshakes, cheese, eggs, cakes and butter.
