Green Oaks FarmRaw milk farm in Knutsford4.9 (134 reviews)Greenoaks Farm is a small farm on Ostlers Lane in Mobberley, Cheshire, milking its own herd for raw milk that is simply filtered and chilled before bottling. They also make whole milk, gently pasteurised but never homogenised so the cream still rises to the top, along with milkshakes in flavours from vanilla to salted caramel. Grass fed beef is reared on the farm, and hives on site provide honey, cared for by a local beekeeper.
Please pre order milk before travelling, by email or a message on social media, then collect from the farm, open daily. Beef is sold frozen as individual cuts on a first come first served basis, and the whole milk is also stocked by a handful of local shops and a milk delivery round.
Halton FarmsRaw milk farm in Congleton4.6 (179 reviews)Halton Farms is Tom and Karen's dairy farm at Chance Hall Farm in Cheshire, where 500 crossbred cows are milked and another 300 heifers grow on at nearby Townsend Farm. Tom's father arrived on the Rode Hall Estate as a tenant farmer in 1968 with 30 cows, and Tom farmed in the partnership that grew from that start before the couple formed Halton Farms Ltd in 2012.
In 2016 they opened The Milk Shack, where a vending machine sells raw milk alongside pasteurised milk, milkshakes, cheese, eggs, cakes and butter. Since 2018 the farm has also run tours for schools, colleges and community groups, giving a real behind the scenes view of dairy farming.

Hartley Family Fresh MilkFarm in Knutsford4.9 (19 reviews)Hartley Family Fresh Milk is a small family dairy farm at Mere near Knutsford in Cheshire. The cows spend their days grazing open pastures and are fed on grass silage made on the farm itself, so everything that goes into the milk is grown, cut and stored close to home.
The milk is raw and unpasteurised, bottled straight from the cow with no homogenisation or heat treatment, so every bottle keeps its natural cream line. You buy it directly from the Milk Shed on the farm, either by pre-ordering or simply calling in, and it is often from that very morning's milking.
