  1. 1Kimbers' Farm ShopKimbers' Farm ShopRaw milk, meat & eggs · Wincanton4.5 (374 reviews)Kimbers' Farm Shop sits at Linley Farm, Charlton Musgrove, near Wincanton in Somerset, run by a family who have farmed this land for 300 years. The mixed farm rears cattle and pigs on wholesome homegrown feed without growth promoters, and the meat sold is ethically reared and butchered. The farm shop and cafe carry their own meat alongside dairy, deli goods, groceries and hampers, with unpasteurised milk, unhomogenised whole milk, cream and Hurdlebrook yoghurt in the dairy fridge. You can also order online for tracked delivery, choosing a delivery date at the checkout.
  2. 2Garden End FarmGarden End FarmEggs · Wells4.9 (123 reviews)Garden End Farm is a third generation family run dairy farm at Panborough, set between the small cathedral city of Wells and the village of Cheddar on the Somerset Levels. The milk comes from the family's own herd of Holstein Friesian cows, which graze the levels around the farm. A Milk Hut at the entrance to the farm holds a vending machine open 24 hours a day selling the farm's own milk, with a make your own milkshake station and local butter, eggs, cheese and preserves alongside. In the farm's own words the milk is gently pasteurised in small batches and is not homogenised. The family also run an eleven pitch caravan and camping site in a quarter acre orchard of plum and apple trees, with three family shower rooms, electric hook ups and a covered washing up area, plus a Shepherd's Hut with a king size bed in its own paddock looking out to the Mendips.

The farm keeps things traditional and direct, selling to its customers rather than through middlemen. You buy the milk straight from the farm gate at Elliscombe Farm, which is open daily from 8am to 8pm. Phone ahead if you are making a longer trip to be sure milk is available.
  4. 4Black and white dairy cows lined up along the edge of a summer fieldNorth Farm CluckyMooRaw milk & eggs · Bridgwater5 (27 reviews)North Farm CluckyMoo is a friendly family run farm at Pawlett near Bridgwater. The dairy produces raw milk, pasteurised whole and skimmed milk, fresh cream and raw kefir, while the farm also rears pork and keeps hens for free range eggs. The farm kitchen turns all that into homemade treats too, from rice pudding, cakes and brownies to cheesecakes, eclairs and savouries. Everything is sold fresh from the farm, with collection times spread across mornings and afternoons through the week.
