Cherry Mountain Dairy is a small family herdshare dairy near Fredericksburg, Texas, run by Phil and Lisa Shockley.
The herd mixes heritage dairy breeds, Ayrshire, Jersey, Brown Swiss, Guernsey and Maine Anjou among them, grazing pasture with alfalfa and non GMO feed and raised without hormones or antibiotics. Calves stay with their mothers through their first weeks, and milk is strained and bottled straight after milking.
Herdshare members collect raw milk that is neither pasteurised nor homogenised, along with heavy cream, butter, farmer's cheese and pasture raised eggs. The farm is open Monday to Saturday for collection, with local delivery available.

Go to the website and pay online. Then head to the farm and follow the signs down the driveway to the left where you will see a little pump House. There you will walk in and grab what you ordered from the right side of the fridge. If you ordered A2- the lid will be labeled that way. (I believe walk-ins and cash options are allowed but I don't know where they keep the money for that. I just know that there's extra milk on the left hand side of the fridge.) Colostrum is kept Frozen in the Deep freezer against the wall. It's expensive but I drank an ounce straight up out of the pint bottle throughout the whole week. Definitely makes your gut feel good and keeps your bowels moving gently. Raw Heavy Cream: The creamest cream. Like silk. Clean and naturally sweet in taste. Raw Milk: Shake the bottle before use- no chunks. My boys like it. Very clean milk taste. I like it because it's raw and clean. So much healthier. The farmers respond quickly to text messages!! Highly recommend for those looking for a raw milk source!
