Oxbow Cattle Company raises natural, grass finished beef in Missoula, Montana, with a mission to regenerate the ecosystem, respect all animals and stay connected to its community.
The cattle live on pasture, and the beef goes from those fields to your table with nothing industrial in between.
You can buy bulk beef by the eighth, quarter, half or whole animal, including Wagyu options, or choose from over 40 individual products at the Farm-2-Market store on Haugan Drive. Bulk shares are popular, and when custom beef sells out for the year there is a waitlist to join.

I have recently moved into the lower Miller Creek area and was introduced to the oxbow cattle company by my work colleague. My first purchase was an organic chicken that I spatchcocked and marinated with tandoori masala and grilled it. It has to be one of the best chickens I've ever made. I have made this recipe a thousand times over, but it has never tasted so good. The texture of the chicken, the flavours, came out fantastic. I don't think I'm going to buy chicken from anywhere else other than the Oxbow Cattle Company. Attached is a photo of before and after grilling.
Easily one of the best steaks I’ve ever had. It was so tender and buttery! I can’t wait to come back to MT and stock up!
Delicious little stop just outside of town! The jerky they make is wonderful and the options they have are great. We will be coming here more often for our beef!
They have the policy of TRUST. In other words they're trusting us to pay the amount due for the items bought & we're trusting them for the product we're buying 🙂. I strongly suggest going there to pick up your meats because you know how it's raised and there's no additives. They have a really great system there. My fur baby knows exactly what's going on when we go there to pick up the beef bones & he gets so excited.

This is an incredibly ethical cattle company. Run by the kindest most responsible ranchers I've ever met. They work incredibly hard to make sure their operations are gentle on the landscape and are very wildlife friendly. They treat their animals well too. I'm a vegetarian but if I buy meat for my partner this is who I buy from.
