Brookshire Farm is a family farm at Abbeville in south Louisiana, raising 100% grass fed and grass finished beef with no growth hormones or routine antibiotics.
The cattle graze open pasture on rotation, and the beef is dry aged before sale.
Alongside beef by the cut, from ground beef to boneless stew, the farm sells Louisiana pasture raised chicken and pork, and offers beef shares. You order through the online store, choose the pickup location nearest you from spots across the state, and meet the farm there with an ice chest on your scheduled day. Farm pickup can also be arranged by appointment.

I live in the Greater New Orleans area and I love that Brookshire Farms offers a monthly pickup near me. We love fresh grass feed beef and theirs has been outstanding. I also like being able to support Louisiana farmers and from their Facebook feed they look like a great family. The cost might be slightly more than Costco or Sam’s buying in bulk, but the taste, quality and knowing what’s pumped (or NOT PUMPED in this case!) into your meat is worth the price. I look forward to their month delivery dates and hope that I’m not out of town or stuck at work. Thank you to the Blanchet for bringing farm fresh meat to us city folks!

We are huge fans of Brookshire Farm. As often as we can, we buy a quarter beef or a ground beef bundle for our freezer. We love their grass fed beef! And we adore the owners of the farm!
