Pure Dartmoor is the produce of Higher West Coombe Farm, a small traditional mixed family farm at North Bovey on Dartmoor.
They farm with nature in mind, avoiding chemical inputs and using wormers or antibiotics only as a last resort for welfare, moving the animals regularly to rest the pastures. Sheep, pigs, chickens, Beef Shorthorn cattle, two Jersey cows and bee hives all share the holding.
Grass fed lamb and hogget are raised on species rich pasture until at least a year old, and the pork is outdoor reared, GMO free and soya free, fed on local barley, wheat, sugar beet and peas. Meat, eggs and sometimes honey are sold through the website for delivery, though the lamb is seasonal and often sells out until spring.
