Chain Bridge Honey Farm

Great products and such a fun visiting place. The lady at the shop was lovely and chatty. The museum aspect is so cool.

My wife and i popped in on our way to Scotland in our motorhome a few years back. And we loved it. Loved the Chainbridge. Since leaving we have on a few occasions been ordering our honey from there and no matter where we were in Scotland they shipped in a timely manner. Really lovely place, we visited as we wanted a trip to the chain bridge. We spent a couple of hours looking around the visitor centre garden wall. Had a good cafe that is reasonably priced. Only a short walk to the chain bridge Would highly recommend.

Lovely family day out We had such a lovely visit to Chain Bridge Honey Farm and would definitely recommend it for a different and enjoyable family day out! 🍯🐝 We started with the gift shop and museum, where the lady working there was so friendly and informative. She happily answered all of my very inquisitive son’s questions about the bees and honey, which he absolutely loved! One of the highlights was being able to watch the bees coming in and out of the clear beehive and seeing them all busy working. It was fascinating to watch them up close and something we all really enjoyed. We picked up some lovely honey to take home, as well as a lip balm which feels absolutely gorgeous and smooth on your lips. The children also loved the outdoor play area, and we had a lovely walk through the bee flower garden. There was so much to look at, including all the old rusty vehicles, farm machinery, a train, digger and even a boat! Another lovely little bonus is that it’s only around a 3–5 minute walk down the bank to the Chain Bridge, which crosses the River Tweed and links England and Scotland. It was lovely to take a little walk down and see the bridge and river. One of our favourite discoveries was a little “hidden” warehouse/unit. Once we headed upstairs, it was like stepping into a treasure trove of antiques and old finds. We all loved looking around, and the children had great fun trying to guess what some of the things were and what they had been used for! We didn’t visit the café on this occasion, but it looked lovely and was clearly very popular, with plenty of people enjoying it. Overall, we had a fantastic time and would definitely recommend a visit. There’s plenty to see and do, and we’d say it’s a great place to spend around half a day exploring something a little different. 🐝🍯❤️

Fascinating place. Unfortunately the Bus Cafe was closed when we visited but the shop / visitor centre was open. Delicious honey from their own bees and other honey-based products e.g. hand cream for sale. Pleasant short walk to the Chain Bridge. Also lots of old farm equipment, vehicles and machinery on display. Highlight is the bee hive inside the shop with glass on one side so you can see all the bees 🐝

Really lovely little place with gorgeous gardens for the bees and a cute little cafe in a double decker bus. We couldn't go in the bus as our dog was too big (she is a chonker!) but there was sheltered outdoor seating which kept us dry. The food was nice, typical cafe grub. The chain bridge was only a short walk and worth it. Maybe not quite exciting enough to drive a few hours to get to, but if you're passing nearby I would say it's definitely worth dropping in!

After visiting over 13 years ago this was a return visit. So much had changed. Parking on site was very helpful. Shop was stocked with everything honey you can imagine - purchased a few gifts and plenty of honey! You can't visit and not stop for coffee and cake. Honey cake was delicious. Staff were so helpful and friendly.

Amazing place. We love it. Honest products at good prices! Museum is fantastic. Great day out for the kids. Good food for the cafe bus. Excellent staff, very friendly.

We visited on recommendation at the beginning of October, travelling from our hotel in Berwick-upon-Tweed. A fabulous farm where you can explore and learn everthing about honey bees, the bee garden, and purchase all your honey and honey based products directly from the farm. You can also watch the bee's doing their thing. There's lots of history on the area to explore here and a short walk down the road (uphill on the way back) was Chain Bridge a must visit. There's vintage farm equipment to explore, too. My favourite was the London bus. It brought back childhood memories of hopping on and off in the city with my nan. A fabulous wildlife photograph exhibition was also guesting whilst we visited. In the high season there's also a cafe in a converted bus. I would definitely recommend this little gem.
