The gallery windows in the café look down into the milking parlour, and the cows are milked daily from 3.30pm to 5pm.
The shop opens daily and is well stocked with local produce, from beer to bread and cheese to chutney, plus farm grown veg and a deli counter. The café serves breakfast, lunches made from scratch and afternoon treats, there is a free farm trail to explore, and the farm also runs a small campsite with pitches for tents and caravans and a wooden pod.

The milk is sold raw, cooled and bottled on the farm from cows milked that morning, never pasteurised or homogenised, and the same milk goes into their two farmhouse cheeses, Farmhouse and Fellstone.

Took us a second to find the shop as it was tucked away a little. There was nobody about and you need cash as it's an honesty box. We bought some milk which was very popular with the kids (they rate the shop "one million out of one million stars") and really lovely cheese, for an extremely reasonable price. It was about £4 for a pint of milk and a wedge of cheese altogether. We enjoyed our adventure and would definitely stop by again if we passed through!

Whats not to like, great hosts Anna & Tom, terrific spot with no traffic noise to block out the babbling stream. Pearl the cat and Ged the dog both supedfriendly. Take wellies as can be muddy from camp to WC/ shower be aware this is a working farm / woodmill. This our first camping and turned out to be purfect, and as Shap in on the coast to coast route book an overnight stay at £10 per night youd be foolish not to.

Having a great experience with Primal Meats. Had a situation where the delivery man dropped the box in the wrong area and the meat went bad. Their customer service was 10/10, i received a fresh box without headache. & everything is delicious. Thanks.
