The Trading Post Farm Shop sits just off the A303 in the Somerset countryside, on a working organic farm, and the Sunday Times called it a mini Borough Market.

Lovely store, just discovered by accident and we definitely want to return to their Café, loads of selection and very friendly staff. Farm shop is open on a Monday, next door the Café is not, Monday always seems to be the new Sunday. We stay out of the way because we are retired and think leave the weekends to the workers, as retirees we seem to have perhaps 3 days in a week, not much different to the workers as most knock off early on Friday and they have more money to spend but don't forget about the grey pound.
My wife loves it here. Lots of unusual things. A great variety of unusual food and drink.
What a wonderful farm shop! I just wished we lived nearby. We always visit when we stay at a local cottage at Stoke Sub Hamdon. This shop is a must, it has everything and more!! Great, friendly staff who make you feel so welcome!
We always make a point of visiting a farm shop whenever we’re out in the countryside, and we’re so glad we stopped at this one. It was the perfect place to stock up on some delicious goodies, we picked up some nuts, a cherry cake, chilli jam, and even some cannolis. Everything felt fresh, high quality, and really well priced. There’s something about a good farm shop that just can’t be beaten, and this one definitely didn’t disappoint. A great little find that we’d happily visit again!
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Great for fresh products (though expensive), numerous delicatessan options, fresh bread, weigh your own seeds/herbs and more. Also extensive range of local crafts, pottery and some plants. An enjoyable place to wander around and find unusual gifts abd food. Well stocked craft off licence.
Very expensive. I liked the atmosphere and novelty. However, the person at the till recoiling as if the Irish bank note I was taking out of my purse was covered in novichock spoilt the experience. Its the only place ive ever had issues. **edit** I understand why they dont take Scottish and Irish notes. However the over reaction and horror was not very customer friendly and definitely came across as judgemental and racist.
What a fantastic, friendly experience. Dog friendly, so our little man doesn't miss out. Lots of variety, great prices and incredibly lovely staff!
Great selection of just about everything. Lots of great local products and produce. The cheeses meat and veg looked good. Lots of cakes and pasties to cheese from too. As well as a refillable area of your kitchen cupboard essentials. Staff were really friendly and helpful.
