Millers Farm ShopFarm shop in Axminster4.6 (1196 reviews)Millers Farm Shop sits on Gammons Hill at Kilmington, just outside Axminster, and is run by James and Olivia Miller. Some of the vegetables sold in the shop are grown in the farm's own fields, and the rest of the range comes from nearby suppliers who share the family's standards, from seasonal produce through to meat.
The shop is open Monday to Saturday from 7.30am, with shorter hours on bank holidays and Sunday opening in December. The Teapot Cafe on site serves from 9am to 5pm Monday to Saturday, and well behaved dogs are welcome in the cafe though no longer in the shop itself. - 2
West Middlewick FarmRaw milk farm in Tiverton4.8 (324 reviews)West Middlewick is a traditional dairy farm at Nomansland in the heart of Devon, run by the Gibson family, and it has sold raw milk from the farm since 1964. The closed herd of around 80 grass fed British Friesian and Friesian cross Jersey cows roams the fields around the farm and produces A2 milk, bottled fresh every day and sold as award winning raw milk alongside a pasteurised line. The farm also keeps about 120 sheep, pigs and around 100 chickens, and grows most of the animals' food itself.
The farm shop has grown from an honesty box into a recently converted old shippon, selling fresh raw milk, farm reared meats and local Devon produce, with the Hayloft cafe alongside. The family are members of the Raw Milk Producers Association and were among the first farms in the area awarded Mid Tier Countryside Stewardship. Campers and self catering guests stay on the working farm in log pods and camping pitches, and the farm hosts an Open Farm Sunday each year with a cream tea. - 3

A self service farm shop at the farm sells the beef along with lamb and pork, taking cash and card, and the meat also reaches local shops and restaurants around Exeter and Okehampton. The farm hosts weddings, camping stays and free educational visits too. - 6
Stone's HoneyHoney farm in Ivybridge5 (66 reviews)Stone's Honey is a family run business deep in the countryside of the South Hams in Devon, a multi award winning Great Taste producer of artisan Devon and Dartmoor honeys. Nothing is added and nothing is taken away, the honey is unpasteurised, cold filtered and unblended, and because the bees forage on different sources through the year, each batch varies naturally in taste and colour.
The range runs from runny and soft set Devon honey to Dartmoor heather honey and cut comb, joined by gift hampers, chocolate, beeswax soaps, body balms, candles and wax melts. Everything sells online with free delivery on orders over £15, and a list of stockists is on the site. - 7
Eversfield OrganicButcher in Okehampton3.5 (47 reviews)Eversfield Organic is an organic butchery at Ellacott Barton in Bratton Clovelly, Devon, delivering across the UK. Founded in 2002 and certified by the Soil Association, the butchery team cut every order freshly, dry ageing the beef and butchering to order rather than leaving meat sitting in packaging.
The range covers 100% grass fed organic beef, lamb, mutton and pork, organic chicken, duck and turkey, wild game, sustainable fish, bone broth and offal, sold as individual cuts or meat boxes. Orders are placed online with a £35 minimum spend, and delivery is free on orders over £90. - 8

Higher Cheristow FarmFarm in Bideford5 (10 reviews)Higher Cheristow Farm sits at Hartland on the North Devon coast and has been run by the Heard family since Eric's father moved there in the 1950s. Today Eric and his wife Shelly farm it as a working organic beef farm with native Devon cattle, using traditional methods without artificial fertilisers. The cows graze herbal leys full of deep rooting plants like plantain, chicory and bird's foot trefoil, moved daily through one acre paddocks in a rotational system that builds soil and captures carbon. Homeopathy, homemade bioferments and biodynamic formulations are used on the land and the herd.
The farm's public face is a quiet, adult only campsite for no more than 16 people, with pitches for caravans, motorhomes and tents beside the hay barns. Guests walk through the working farmyard, and Eric's two milking cows pass through it daily. There is currently no farm shop and no meat sold from the site. - 10
Bishops BeesHoney farm in South Molton5 (10 reviews)Bishops Bees keeps hives deep in the North Devon countryside, where the bees forage along hedgerows and across fields of wild flowers such as clover, bramble and rose bay willow herb. As well as producing honey, the team breeds British queen bees, runs beekeeping courses and offers meadow management services.
The honey is cold extracted and never heated, only coarse filtered and hand poured into jars, so it stays about as raw as honey can be without eating it straight from the comb. Clear and soft set jars, plus honey with cinnamon or orange, are sold through the online shop for delivery, alongside beekeeping equipment.

Latest review (Aug 26) - the farm has advanced so much over the last few years but retains it's friendly, family feel. I absolutely love it here. Fantastic site. Clean facilities, and the farmer (John) allows the children to help with feeding the animals. Very child friendly and a lovely relaxing atmosphere. I will be returning.

Absolutely perfect in every single way! The quality and taste is exceptional. Everything tastes and looks far better than store grassfed! From now this is going to be my only place to shop. I love your ethics too. I will be back very soon to stock up. Very very highly recommended.

We stopped in here on the way to south Devon, we bought a stack of steaks. The gentleman who served us was very friendly. The meat was of an excellent standard and it is good to know it was their own beef and not imported garbage. I prefer buying off independent people rather than supermarkets and like supporting British farms. You will pay a premium for the privilege but I think it is worth every penny.

Came here today for an organised event with my grandson. It was time on the farm run by Kevin of Organic arts. There were only 4 families there and we had a great time. My grandson loved it and can't wait to go again.
