Portnellan Farm is the Scott-Park family's organic farm at Gartocharn on Loch Lomond, raising grass fed Aberdeen Angus and Shorthorn cattle for organic beef alongside farm tours and boat trips.
Portnellan Farm is a family run farm at Gartocharn by Loch Lomond, breeding Aberdeen Angus cross cattle for slow grown, grass fed beef.
The cattle are raised, grazing species rich pasture through the summer and wintering indoors on silage made from the farm's own fields, though packs cannot currently be labelled organic because the butcher holds no organic certification.
The beef is aged for 21 days and sold to order, with a price list on the website, so phone or email to arrange what you need. The farm also offers farm tours, camper pitches and boat trips out on the loch.

I rented a SUP board and headed out into the Loch and paddled for 2 1/2 hours. The location is stunning. If you want a special and memorable experience go here. Chris is amazing and I’m sure that all the other activities and accommodations are wonderful as well.

This is my second trip to Portnellan Farm to hire kayaks. I promised myself last time I would extend the length of time to 4 hours and it was well worth it. My son and I managed to cover 13 km weaving through islands and ending up at Milarrochy Bay before following the shoreline down to Balmaha and then back through the southern islands. View of Conic Hill from the Loch are outstanding (sorry no photos). Chris was very friendly and helpful as ever ensuring we were safe and prepared for an afternoon on the water. Thanks again Chris.
