Cloverlea Apiaries is a family run beekeeping business based at Forgandenny near Perth, with apiary sites across the central belt of Scotland.
The bees are local honey bees rather than imports, some hives travel to help farmers with crop pollination, and in the heather season the team heads for the moors to gather Scottish heather honey.
The honey is minimally filtered and never heated above hive temperature, then extracted and jarred in their own approved honey house. Alongside it they hand make beeswax candles and a skincare range using their honey and beeswax, free of sulphates, parabens and palm oil and never tested on animals. A new online shop is launching soon, so for now you order by getting in touch.

My husband and I were out for a walk around Dron, just outside Dundee (we live nearby), when we came across a lovely woman tending to her beehives. This was Tracy from Cloverlea Apiaries. Tracy was incredibly friendly and helpful. We were curious about beekeeping, and she generously shared lots of fascinating facts about bees and explained why she keeps them outside the city. She even went out of her way to help us with a metal detecting enquiry by making several phone calls to track down the landowner’s name. On top of that, she gave us a generous slice of honeycomb to take home for our kids – and it was absolutely delicious. We were both genuinely astounded by Tracy’s warmth and hospitality. It was such a lovely and unexpected encounter. Later, I found Cloverlea’s website, where they describe themselves as “a friendly bee company” – and I can confidently say they absolutely live up to that! Thank you, Tracy!
