Wanted to try real milk, which started the whole farm; researches and solves everything from cheesemaking to tractor repair.
Produced on the Farm is a family dairy in Old Town, Florida selling raw Jersey and Brown Swiss milk, mostly A2/A2, plus handmade kefir, yogurt, cheeses and ice cream at Gainesville farmers markets.
Produced on the Farm is Diane, Dennis and Corey's family farm in Old Town, Florida, milking their own Jersey and Brown Swiss cows for raw, full cream milk.
Every cow is here for life, whether born on the farm, bought, or rescued from a commercial dairy; each is called into the parlour by name, milked one at a time into her own labelled bucket, and the milk is bottled by the cow so customers know exactly who it came from. Most of the herd is A2/A2, and the cows roam pastures, woods and ponds all day with the horses, goats and donkey.
Beyond milk the family handmakes what they call udder things: ice cream churned in a wooden bucket, kefir, Greek and Turkish yogurt, farmer's feta, buttermilk, cacao milk, cream, small batch cheeses and fresh butter, all starting with their own fresh milk. Everything is sold under Florida's animal consumption law at Gainesville area farmers markets, with farm pickup available, and dairy heifers and bulls are sold from the herd.
