Greg & Jen are AMAZING folks! The animals are so well taken care of!! Great produce!!
This rating is for their “Farmer’s Grill” stand at Bloomfield farmer’s market. Extremely slow service. “Front of house” managed by their daughter who clearly needs more training in customer service - constantly forgetting to ask names and writing down people’s orders. Had to wait 20 minutes for an overpriced egg and cheese (which was cooked on the same grill as the meats…) Sandwich was mediocre and tasted vaguely of dish water.
Jen hosted our Girl Scouts at the farm and offered a hands on experience. The girls were guided through a tour of the animals, green houses, and fields. They learned about organic farming and participated in transplanting spinach and planting seeds in the field. My Scout is excited to return to see the crops and animals, as well as purchase seasonal produce.
I know where MY carrots came from... Do you? Organic local grown vegetables. Cmon! What else is there in life? Pure goodness.
Fabulous Farmer's Market booth that I always look forward to visiting. Veggies, eggs, meats and breads are also available Wednesdays on the farm. I love their cookies and treats! Great place to visit if you're also picking fruit at Norman's Orchard.
My first experience with the farm was 2 years ago when I joined their CSA program. I opted to drive to the farm but I like that there are options for city pick up. The kids love coming out to the farm to pet the bunnies and check out what new baby animals are there. Everyone I’ve encountered at the farm has been super friendly and there is a good selection of produce, breads and dry goods available. The peppered bacon is some of the best I’ve had. Feeding organic, wholesome foods to my family is important to me and I am happy to support a hard working local family farm in the process.
Blackberry Meadows Farm is a certified organic vegetable and pastured pork farm in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania running a CSA, farm store and Pittsburgh farmers market stalls.
Blackberry Meadows Farm is a certified organic vegetable and pastured pork farm on Ridge Road in Natrona Heights, Pennsylvania, serving the Pittsburgh area. In their own words they grow certified organic vegetables to feed both our city neighbors and farm community, and the farm hosts and mentors organic farmers to produce food directly for their communities. The shop carries CSA vegetable shares with farm or city pickup, a long run of pastured pork cuts from bacon and chops to kielbasa and hot dogs, eggs, seasonal produce and handmade soap.
Beyond the CSA the farm runs a Farm Club where members grow their own food, sells at the Bloomfield Saturday Market and Squirrel Hill Farmers Market in Pittsburgh, and keeps a weekly farm journal. Summer 2026 entries describe pulling eight fifty foot rows of garlic and the farm store open in the afternoon for fresh picked veggies.
