The Turner Farmstead is a small raw milk dairy in Mason, Tennessee milking A2 tested Jersey cows.
The cows live on pasture under rotational grazing, are supplemented with unsprayed hay when the grass is short, and receive an organic dairy ration of corn, barley, oats, peas, alfalfa pellets and sunflower seeds at milking time, with free choice minerals. The farm describes itself as believing in full transparency.
Because Tennessee only allows raw milk through herd shares or pet milk, the farm runs a herd share: a one time buy in of 100 dollars, then a monthly fee of 50 dollars for a full share of one gallon a week or 30 dollars for a half share. Members collect their milk at the farm on a day of their choosing except Sundays. The herd share is currently full, with spots opening in February 2026, and pet milk has been offered since summer 2025. The farm is not open to the public except by appointment.
