Beautiful farm in Locust Dale on almost 400 acres. Very reasonably priced for field boarding and leasing competent and friendly staff.
We purchased 2 horses from westwood farms and are very pleased with them both. We plan on buying more in the future.
We can’t thank Stephanie and Jarred enough for giving us the opportunity to purchase Josey (aka Annie). At the time we visited their farm we weren’t exactly “looking” for a new horse, and Josey wasn’t exactly “for sale”. 😆 However, the stars aligned that day and we added a new member to family. Josey has a tremendous mindset and has exceeded our expectations as she has come under saddle. At only a little over three we have competed in three trail competitions already, even placing in a few of them. We can’t wait to see what her future holds! I own a horse bred by Westwood Farms and frequently visit, whether to do some training, see the foals, or just visit. It is always well kept, well groomed and the owners are the nicest, down to earth folks you'll ever encounter. I always am able to get their honest feedback and questions answered any time I have one. They are a wealth of knowledge!
Amazing farm. We have purchased 2 adult TWHs from Westwood in the last year. I am currently free leasing a very special mare from Westwood also. I will be purchasing her in January. We love the Langston family. Our horses are well trained and healthy. Stephanie is very knowledgeable about gaited, genetics, breeding and lineage. Their horses are the best I have ever seen. Stephanie and Jared are the real deal. They care, are knowledgeable, kind, considerate and wonderful horse people. I can not recommend them enough to anyone who is interested in a gaited horse.
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

Stephanie and Jarred Langston are very knowledgeable about breeding old world, quality Tennessee Walking horses for temperament and intelligence. I bought a filly when she was about 4 months old. She is now a year and a half old. I am so grateful to have her as she is by far the most people oriented and highly intelligent horse I've ever known. It is rare today to find a farm with such high integrity as Westwood Farm. They really care about their horses and their customers!
I bred my mare to one of their stallions (Midas, who they no longer own) and the entire experience was fantastic!! I can't say enough nice things about these folks and their horses. I got the foal of my dreams, he matured into as nice a walking horse as you could ask for. Super chill temperament, smart as a whip, easy to train and a blast to ride. I'm hoping to breed my mare to The Tennessee Stud WF and make another one before my mare gets too old. I trust these folks, which isn't something I say about many people.
I bought a yearling TWH from Jarred and Stephanie in June of 2018. I live in upstate NY and I am taking Rooster back down for Jarred to be the first person on his back as a 3 YO. I am beyond excited to go back to their farm. My boy Rooster was everything I had hoped for and I can't wait to see how he will be for Jarred in the next step of his training. I highly recommend doing business with Jarred and Stephanie and my friend is also planning to check out some of their consignments while we are there.
