Refuge of Liberty Farm is a family homestead in Rixeyville, Virginia offering raw A2/A2 milk herdshares from grass fed Jersey cows plus pastured meat, eggs and seasonal produce.
Refuge of Liberty Farm is a family homestead at Rixeyville in Virginia, milking two grass fed Jersey cows, Martha and Hazel, both A2/A2.
The cows are rotationally grazed all year round and cared for as holistically as possible, with the farmer's herbalist knowledge standing in for routine chemicals.
Raw milk cannot be sold outright in Virginia, so the milk goes out through a herdshare. You buy into the herd once, then pay a monthly fee for one or two shares, each worth a gallon a week collected in half gallon mason jars. The farm also sells pasture raised meats, eggs, chicks and seasonal vegetables and plants, with herdshare owners getting first access to extras like yogurt and butter.
