Reality Farm is a historic farm dating to 1753 in Washington, Virginia offering cow and goat milk through a herdshare, grass fed beef, free range chickens, eggs and raw honey.
Reality Farm sits at the foot of the Blue Ridge mountains in Washington, Virginia, on land farmed since 1753.
Over more than 250 years the farm has enjoyed a rich agricultural history thanks to its fertile soils and pure water, serving during the Civil War as both a Confederate outpost and a Union cavalry encampment. Today it milks Jersey cows and Nubian goats, with milk available to herd share customers only, at 12 dollars a gallon for cow and 13 for goat.
The herd is unusually varied, with Brahma, Devon, Angus, Jersey, Brown Swiss and Water Buffalo among the cattle, crossed with the intention of increasing vigour and disease resistance, plus milk goats. The farm sells grass fed beef by the cut, natural free range chickens and brown eggs, and raw honey by the gallon, with farm pickup daily from 10am to 5pm or delivery to one of the farm's drop sites.
