dHb Ranch is a fourth generation Hampton family cattle ranch near Ten Sleep, Wyoming, selling its own Black Angus beef, including a 100 percent grass fed line, direct to customers.
dHb Ranch is a family cattle operation in Washakie County, north central Wyoming, run by Dan and Brenda Hampton.
The Hamptons have ranched here since 1946, when Carl Hampton bought the old Mahogany Butte homestead and registered the C Lazy H brand. The family ran sheep for decades, moved to cattle only in 2009, and Dan and Brenda set up dHb Ranch in 2021 to sell the beef straight to the people who eat it.
They raise Black Angus cattle on the Nowood River ground at the foot of Mahogany Butte. Beef is sold two ways, a 100 percent grass fed line and a grass fed, grain finished line, in bundles, sampler boxes and quarter, half or whole beef shares. Alongside the beef they sell cooking tallow, tallow skincare, beef dog treats and the family's 1926 sourdough starter. Orders ship on Mondays, and ranch collection or free delivery within 200 miles of Worland can be arranged.
