  1. 1Gazegill OrganicsGazegill OrganicsButcher in Clitheroe, Lancashire4.5 (250 reviews)Gazegill Organics is an organic farm at Rimington in Lancashire that has been farmed by the Robinson family for nearly 500 years, now with Emma Robinson and Ian O'Reilly at the helm. Shorthorn dairy cows graze heritage wildflower meadows, and the farm keeps traditional British rare breeds, farming at low intensity with nature and sustainability front of mind. Their A2 raw milk is organic, unpasteurised and unhomogenised, and the award winning online butchery delivers organic grass fed beef, veal, lamb, mutton, pork and chicken across mainland UK, alongside a deli range. There is a farm shop at Gazegill itself, open Monday to Saturday.
  2. 2Pulford Farm ShopPulford Farm ShopRaw milk farm in Darwen, Blackburn with Darwen4.7 (44 reviews)Pulford Farm Shop sits at the dairy at Bent Farm, part of Pulford Farm Dairies, a family dairy farm on the border of Blackburn and Darwen in Lancashire. Three generations of the Fielding family work here, milking a herd of pedigree Holstein cows, and the business has delivered fresh milk to local homes and shops for more than 50 years. The farm is Red Tractor assured and won British Farming Family Business of the Year at the 2015 British Farming Awards. The shop opens seven days a week with home reared meats, fresh produce, eggs, jams, chutneys and puddings, alongside milk bottled at their own dairy, both unpasteurised and pasteurised, and their probiotic natural yoghurt. Doorstep delivery rounds run throughout the year, whatever the weather.
  3. 3Farm Gate Farm ShopFarm Gate Farm ShopFarm shop in York, North Yorkshire4.9 (37 reviews)Farm Gate Farm Shop and Free Range Butchery is run by founders Steve and Christine Parker-Nicholls from their farm on Thornton Lane in Easingwold, near York. The butchery counter carries free range beef, lamb, pork, poultry and wild game, while the shelves hold artisan British cheese, organic unhomogenised milk, organic fruit and veg, deli food, handmade pies and freshly baked bread. The on farm shop opens Friday and Saturday, 9am to 2pm, with click and collect from the farm Thursday to Sunday. Local delivery is free on orders over £20, and the award winning online shop ships nationwide across England and Wales.
  4. 4Moss Valley Market GardenMoss Valley Market GardenFarm shop in Sheffield, Derbyshire5 (34 reviews)Moss Valley Market Garden grows organic and biodynamic certified vegetables and fruit in the Moss Valley in south Sheffield, on the Sheffield Organic Growers site at Hazlehurst Lane. The growers use purely natural techniques to regenerate the soil and support biodiversity, and in the summer months roughly 90% of the veg in the bags is grown to biodynamic standards on site. The farm runs a veg bag scheme with five sizes of bag, delivered free to the door on a Thursday or Friday across west, south and north Sheffield, or collected from local collection points. Orders can be weekly or fortnightly, first bags come with a free bottle of Sheffield organic apple juice, and visits to the garden are by appointment.
  5. 5Red Lodge FarmRed Lodge FarmRaw milk farm in Wakefield, West Yorkshire4.9 (18 reviews)Red Lodge Farm is a family run dairy farm at Kirkhamgate near Wakefield, in the Swainson family since the late 1800s and now one of Yorkshire's largest suppliers of raw milk. The free range herd of Holstein Friesian cows is milked by a voluntary robot, so the cows choose when to be milked, and the milk is sold unpasteurised and unhomogenised straight from the farm gate. Alongside the raw milk there are free range eggs laid daily by the farm's hens and bantams, and raw honey from hives kept on the edge of the bluebell woods. Buy at the farm on its open days or arrange a delivery.
  6. 6Unthank Hall FarmUnthank Hall FarmHoney farm in Dronfield, Derbyshire4.8 (15 reviews)Unthank Hall Farm is a family farm at Holmesfield in Derbyshire raising native Dexter cattle, born, reared and finished on grass and grown slowly for proper flavour. Outdoor reared pigs and sheep share the farm, and everything is high welfare and fully traceable. The meat is sold as boxes through their online shop, from grass fed Dexter beef and hogget to outdoor reared pork, gourmet sausages, homemade pies and their own Unthank honey. A cut to your spec option lets you reserve beef, pork or hogget butchered your way, and you can collect from the farm or choose local or UK nationwide delivery.
