Halton Farms, a smelly yet wonderful place lol 😆 Another wonderful farm in Congleton, Stoke on Trent. Why is it smelly? Because of all the cows 🐄 lol which is understandable. They have a 'mooternity' area which is a brilliant concept where they have the pregnant cows + they have another huge area where you can see the cows being milked, as well as another area where all the calves are - just cows everywhere lol 😆 but it's nice to see and get pretty up close, especially for kids. Like most of the farms, they also have a self serving vending machine where you can purchase desserts, milkshakes and fresh, raw milk as well as small gifts/souvenirs. You can get the raw milk in either a free plastic bottle, or pay around £2 for a reusable glass bottle. I got 1 litre raw milk which is unheated and unpasteurised - after consumption, I had no stomach issues lol and the milk tasted great. I also got the 'slutty brownie' (lol) which is probably the best brownie I have ever had! Overall this is an excellent farm where you can purchase a range of fresh items, see many cows up close and enjoy the beautiful views of the countryside. 10/10.

Absolutely amazing place to visit, can see the cows in the nursery the ice cream the milk, whether it be pasteurised or raw. Amazing choice of products. Very clean, well presented, and I've been going to this place for years. I get my milk from it for work most mornings. For those of you to whom have complained about hygiene standards, I've been frequently and they have been cleaning it. I've been on a numerousoccasions whereby it's the hygiene standards of some of the customers using it as is the problem, not the staff that are trying to maintain it. If there is an issue you can ring them on the number that is on the notice board and they'll come and rectify it. The owners Tom and Karen work very hard to maintain the farm, I frequently get there at 6: 30 in the morning and they're cleaning it ready for the another day of sales of milk. It's not the owners that need to change their hygiene practise. It's some of the people using it. Keep up the excellent work Tom and kaz, you're doing great and you've got lots of positive reviews.

Yeah amazing place.... imagine being stuck in traffic on the m6 and having two hot grumpy kids in the car and stumbling across this place. Its like a Japanese spaceship crashed here with machines to help humans drink and eat yummy things. The kids and I all had bubble milkshakes and we got some milk to take home. There are loads of nice things to eat, jams, brownies, butter, cheese....
I had a shaky start here. My brain found the milkshake machine a little too convoluted compared to some. We had gone to get an ice cream as that machine is straightforward for my brain. We noticed on our recent visit for ice cream there was a big poster with step by step guidance. We finally were able to try the milkshake. It was a very generous portion of the syrup and the milkshake was a great price. My son who loves cows enjoyed see the cows in the mooternity.
Great little place. You can get ice-cream ( some of the nicest Ive ever had) Raw milk Pasteurised milk milkshakes ( also very good. Especially cherry ) Various other things like cookie mixture in a bottle, cheese, hats.... On the outside, there is a sign that says they have coffee..... There is no coffee here. They have a fly/wasp problem though, a big fly/wasp problem. There is a broken fly trap and nothing else..... Edit 23/08/25. The fly problem is out of control now, the container belongs to them. There are 100s of them INSIDE their ice-cream machine. And loads of them inside the syrup dispenser door on their milkshake machine.. There are also 2 very used up dolls of fly paper and a single fly zapper with worn out bulbs that don't attract them anymore. Whomever manages this place runs the risk of having the place shut down due to the unsanitary conditions. It's a serious shame because the ice-cream is really good and the shakes are top notch too, I'll not come back until the problem has been sorted..... I hope they sort it soon.
Back again for more fun, but a little hiccup this time. Second visit, still pretty great overall. Four stars because the machine ate our money and there was no milk. Bummer about the milk, but still love the vibe. Hoping for better luck next time!
