The shop's butchery prepares pasture fed beef and lamb, Gloucester Old Spot pork and Fordhall mutton, alongside dry cured bacon and gammon, sausages, free range poultry and wild game, and the sirloin steak has won a Great Taste Award. Beyond the meat counter you will find sausage rolls, pork pies, eggs, Fordhall honey, dairy, pantry staples, and beer, cider and wine. 2. 2Llynclys Hall Farm ShopLlynclys Hall Farm ShopHoney farm in Oswestry4.7 (204 reviews)Llynclys Hall Farm is Richard and Lynda's family farm at Llynclys near Oswestry, renowned as the largest pumpkin producer in the Shropshire area. The family ran a much loved farm shop here for around 30 years before making the sad decision to close it for good at Christmas 2025. The farming carries on. The farm still sells logs, cut and ready to burn, sold by the bag, and each autumn the pumpkin patch opens for the picking season. Check their Facebook page for dates and news, and note that the farm shop itself is no longer trading.
  3. 3Appleby'sAppleby'sRaw milk farm in Shrewsbury4.9 (19 reviews)Appleby's makes traditional Cheshire cheese at Hawkstone Abbey Farm in Marchamley, Shropshire, using raw cows' milk, traditional cultures, rennet and salt, with annatto giving the Coloured Cheshire its warm colour. The range spans Coloured, White, Smoked and Vintage Cheshire, the last aged for over 12 months, along with Double Gloucester and traditionally churned whey butter. There is honey too, produced from hives on the family farm in partnership with local beekeeper Henry Rook of Eden Honey Bees. Order online for delivery, or visit the shop at the dairy on Fridays between 10am and 2pm.
  4. 4The Rare DairyThe Rare DairyRaw milk farm in Whitchurch5 (11 reviews)The Rare Dairy is a certified organic microdairy at Abbey Farm in Ash near Whitchurch, run by Becky with her rare breed Shetland cows. It is a cow with calf dairy, so the cows keep their calves at foot and share their milk just once a day, and the farm describes itself as the only certified organic Shetland cow with calf microdairy selling raw milk on the British Isles. The dairy sells organic raw milk in 250ml, 500ml and 1 litre bottles, along with kefir and yogurt. You order by email or text message, then collect from the farm or have it delivered on a Thursday or Friday if you live nearby, with delivery charged at £1.50.
