Big Stars Farm is a family run dairy at Ovalo, Texas, milking A2/A2 cows that live on pasture all year round.
The herd is kept free from added hormones, with routine health tests and milk testing, and the farm handles all the feeding, milking and daily care itself.
Raw milk is sold through a herd share. Buying a share gives joint ownership of the herd and a half gallon of milk each week, with no limit on how many shares a member can hold. Milk is collected at the farm on Saturday afternoons or from weekly drop points in Abilene, Cisco, San Angelo and Buffalo Gap, and the farm also offers on farm experiences.

The experience has been great! So thankful to have access to raw milk (at a local drop)! Love the cream too! Good customer service!!
Best of the best.
Wonderful family that cares deeply about their herd and their members! They offer high quality raw milk, cream and butter (via herd share). You can also purchase seasonal produce and baked goods all delivered with your milk! They are always going above and beyond for their members.
We were able to pet all the animals, purchase pumpkins, and use the slingshot to toss pumpkins! The farm is small enough that you get to visit with the owners and learn about the animals while petting them. We had so much fun and will be back!
We loved this place. It’s small and it’s intimate. The owners were very kind and interacted with us nearly the whole time (when other people arrived they did the same with them: ))! Our 1 year old loved petting and feeding the animals. She also loved riding on the mini horse and climbing on the giant tires filled with sand! She’s never been out in the country and she liked it. One of the things daddy liked was the giant sling shot! If you have small kids, I’d say this is perfect. I was hoping it would be more intimate so we could relax and just enjoy, and it was! We will have to go back. Idk when, but we will be back! Thank you to the owners, we had a great time!
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

When I say that this farm is one of my favorite places, I am only speaking the truth. It’s so peaceful and relaxing, all while being exciting and fun. My favorite is the animals and how friendly they all are. My kids favorite is the pumkin launcher! It’s family owned and operated, and they are all so involved and knowledgeable, all while being KIND, which is something you don’t see very often these days! If you haven’t been yet, GO. You won’t be sorry!!!
This place is good fun for all ages. It is worth the drive to enjoy a bit of country life. We enjoyed petting and feeding the animals, big and small. The hay ride excluded a stop to feed livestock and they came right up to the wagon. The pumpkin launcher let us try out our aim. The tire mountain tested my thigh streangth. Lots more activities but also enthusiastic staff at this family run event. They really worked at making sure everyone had fun!
This little farm has big fun!!! It's a quiet little place with so many things to do that are all included with admission. The hayride, the Pumpkin launching, the petting farm, the farm store....its all amazing!!! It's a great place to let the kids go have fun and not have to be with them, as you can see them and watch them while sitting in the hammocks. Not super busy, and is just a fun place to hang out!!!
Don't get me wrong we had fun. We loved feeding the cows and catapulting pumpkins, but it was way over priced at $10 for ages 3+. It is very very small. There was a very old playground, 1 photo op, only a few goats and ponys to pet, a few pallets of pumpkins, and a hayride. The bouncy house wasn't set up and they didn't have the pony out for the pony rides. The employees were super friendly, just wasn't worth the drive or price of admission.
