Genesis 1 Farms is a family farm in Weatherford, Texas that has been raising Texas Longhorns since 2017, starting with one cow and five heifers bought from Moriah Farms.

The herd sire is Tuff Trash Chex, descended from Cowboy Tuff Chex, and the herd covers all sorts of horn shapes, sizes and colours, from brindle to blue roan. It is a faith led family operation, with three daughters who help feed the cows and chickens and tend the family garden.

The farm sells Longhorn cattle from its sale pen, with bulls, steers, cows, heifers and calves on offer, and also sells beef. To buy, get in touch with Philip Newkirk by phone or email, or follow the farm's Facebook page to keep up with the herd.
