Poyntzfield Herb Nursery is a specialist herb nursery on the Black Isle near Dingwall, Scotland, growing over 400 culinary, aromatic and medicinal herb varieties to biodynamic standards since 1976.
Poyntzfield Herb Nursery is a specialist herb nursery on the Black Isle near Dingwall in the north of Scotland, growing a wide range of kitchen, aromatic, dye and medicinal herbs.
Raised in a cool northern climate, the plants are naturally hardy, with varieties to suit ponds, rockeries, pollinator borders and shady corners.
Plants, seeds and reference booklets are sold by mail order, mainly in spring and autumn, and the nursery welcomes visitors from spring through to early autumn. It closes on Wednesdays, so plan your visit for another day.

A special list herb nursery with a great range of herbs you won't find anywhere else. The staff are knowledgeable, friendly and helpful. Be aware there are no facilities here.

I ordered a range of plants for my new herb border by mail order and they are absolutely super. The box arrived quickly, carefully packed, and the aromatic smell of the herbs as I opened the box was wonderful. The plants are really fresh and healthy, and a decent size too. With a little water they rested well and were planted into the final home this morning, looking good. I'll definitely order from Poyntzfield Herb Nursery again.

These guys are amazing. I've ordered three or four times from them. The plants arrive in good shape and - as long as I plant them properly - they do really well. They've also got a great selection of rare and unusual plants. I can't recommend them highly enough. And if they're out of stock for some things it usually means you've left it too late in the season to order.
