I was lucky enough to be given some marmalade from Struan Apiaries a while ago and on the strength of its excellence recently ordered a selection of marmalades, preserves and honey. This morning, Royal Mail managed to deliver the parcel to the wrong address but Struan immediately got the matter sorted. So the service was as good as the product. Recommended.
Visited here a few weeks ago now and have to say some of the nicest tangerine marmalade and mango chutney I've ever had! And the heather honey is to die for.
I have only ever dealt with this fabulous company once, and being as the chutney selection I bought was a birthday present for someone who has not yet had their birthday, I can only comment on the quality of the service I received rather than the product itself (although I have to say that it does look fantastic and is beautifully packaged) But the service was wonderful; I cannot praise them highly enough and, should the situation or personal need ever arise, I would have absolutely no hesitation in coming to Struan Apiaries again. Top notch!
After trying the two I bought yesterday and today, fantastic honey. Smooth and rich and deep. The heather honey was my favourite but the heather honey with whiskey is also really nice, and goes great with ginger tea! Besides taste the honey was very affordable too, I initially thought it would cost a lot more. We came by 2 days ago and while at first we didn't know if they were open to visitors, Karen invited us in and she and Nigel were very friendly and gave us a really cool look at the work and processes that go into an apiary, and they were lovely to chat with. If you're looking for great honey, definitely have a look at their store, and if you're in the neighborhood, definitely worth to take a look when they're open. (I also bought some preserves that I have not got the chance to try yet, but they have a really impressive range of preserves and chutneys and jams too)
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up

We absolutely love this small family apiary. The whole family enjoys their honey, and the heather honey is by far our favourite. Ever since we discovered them, we’ve kept coming back and ordering again and again. The service is wonderful too — always warm, personal, and very accommodating to individual circumstances. It’s clear they really care about their customers as much as the quality of their products. Highly recommended.
I was lucky enough to meet Karen and Nigel at a show where they were exhibiting their produce. I've always been a lover of Marmalade so I took a jar of their Tangerine marmalade along with some strawberry jam and lemon curd. I can honestly say that the Tangerine marmalade is the best I've ever tasted and that's not to say there aren't many amazing marmalades out there. I live at the other end of the country (Bristol) from Struan apiaries and have it shipped down regularly along with the lemon and lime marmalade, gooseberry preserve and honey with malt whisky. Simply put, great service, lovely staff (Karen could not be more helpful) very well priced and the star of the show, a range of products that will make you go back again and again. Absolutely delicious and as you can see, I’ve a few more to get into for the time being.
