Gilcombe Farm is a 300 acre family run organic dairy farm in Bruton, Somerset selling its own organic raw milk, Dexter beef and yogurt from a farm shop open seven days a week.
Gilcombe Farm is a 300 acre family run organic dairy farm in the heart of Somerset, farmed by Andy Portch and his sons and in the family for three generations.
It is one of very few farms in the country selling its own organic raw milk, bottled fresh every day, alongside milk gently pasteurised on site in small batches and a thick Greek style yoghurt made by hand.
The farm shop and butchery at Bruton have been going for nearly four decades, stocking the farm's organic rare breed Dexter beef, West Country lamb, pork, chicken and game, local cheeses, daily fresh fruit and veg and a wide larder of local produce. The family also runs a stall at Barnes Farmers Market in London every Saturday.

Excellent yogurts and coronation chicken, which I have now been buying for more than a year. Their meat pies are good too.

Finally stopped off in this little gem of a farm shop, lots of items all under one roof, fruit and veg, pies made on site, local meat, milk, really tasty sourdough bread, gifts, looking forward to visiting again soon.

I called these guys to reserve some organic chicken thighs ahead of our trip back home after a short stay in Bruton and had a lovely experience. The butcher was so friendly and considerate and to our surprise, the chicken was ready, filleted and vac packed for our journey when we arrived. Lovely staff and DELICIOUS chicken thighs.
