Great Cotmarsh Farm

We had a fantastic and relaxing stay at the farm. We stayed in the beautiful shepherds hut. It had everything that you needed and it was so peaceful with amazing views from the large windows in the bedroom. The beds were really comfy and our girls loved their bunk beds! It was lovely to see our children having the freedom to run around and play on the farm. We particularly enjoyed their little show on the old bell tent platform in the field! We had the soughdough pizza on our first night, and it was lovely to be able to cook them in a proper pizza oven on site, it was so delicious and then a BBQ on the second night, I loved the sausages and my husband said the pork T bone was the best meat he’s ever tasted! We will definitely be returning again!

Katie was super friendly and helpful and we loved trying the pizza oven and cooking on the grill. The burgers were the best we've ever tasted and it was special to know the animals had been well-fed and cared for on this chemical-free land. This is such a special peaceful place, perfect for couples.

Such a warm and friendly welcome. Love the fact you can buy produce from the farm for meals. We had organic beef burgers, minced beef and delicious ice cream! A very quiet site with a beautiful view. If you love nature and the real outdoors experience this is a perfect site. Had the weather not beenso dry, we would have used the fire pits outside the tent provided by the campsite.

Great venue with beautiful scenery. Limited stands prevents overcrowding. Facilities are great and well maintained. This is definitely a venue worth visiting.

Connecting back with nature camping @great cotmarsh farm: spacious pitch with our own little path and fire pit (not used at present due to the weather). We had a large tent and there was space to sit, play cook and eat. Took the bikes for the kids to ride around Bought soughdough and farm sausages from Katie & James, very tasty, which we cooked in the pizza oven (wood provided on site). Fridge available. Hot water showers and out door washing up / food prep area. Lots of nature seen from our pitch; barn owl, rabbits, bats, birds of prey. James & Katie were welcoming, warm, friendly and helpful. They also answered the many questions the kids had. Thank you for a great stay. We’ll be returning 👌

Really lovely campsite with excellent showers, loos and pizza oven. Pitches were a little small and quite close together but there are only 5 so it still felt quiet and wonderful. Very helpful owners too and delicious sourdough pizza bases and organic meat!

Wonderful hosts. Very welcoming. Pitches clear, only issues can't walk bare footed, thistle weed everywhere. Toilets were so small, hardly enough space to sit and close the door. Kitchen prep area was not covered. There are other toilets, larger and better on site. We had a party of 10-12, we needed a fridge and they bought a fridge just for our needs. Perfect.

New campsite. Good firepit and wood. Kitchen area was uncovered. The toilets although well plumbed, were too small. I could not fully close the door when sitting down. There was nowhere to put your clothes when having a shower. The entrance to the field was muddy _ which ended up in the tents. Disappointing.

Loved our stay at Great Cotmarsh. If you love wild camping but still want a shower and toilet then this is the place for you; only has 4 camping pitches and 2 teepees so lovely and quiet. Also has a wood fired pizza oven and space to wash pots etc.

Fabulous campsite, peaceful and spacious. Easily one of the nicest between Bristol and London. Great pizza oven. Everything you need, will definitely be coming again next year.

My family and I stayed here for a weekend in May 2025. We stayed in one of the large tipis and had a fantastic time. Katie and James went out of her way to be helpful and make the kids feel special. The venue was clean, with our own private toilet and shower. We ordered burgers and lamb with a days notice and used the outdoor facilities to grill the food. All in all, it was a great weekend and we will be returning again due to the venue and the hospitality we received. Thank you Katie and James.
