I wanted to like this place so badly because I live in the neighborhood next door. I came in today to try it out. The guy working behind the counter came across rude and condescending. I did not feel welcome at all which is very disappointing because I expected to become a long standing customer, I love the idea of buying my meats from a local butcher. I hope they can improve the customer service within this establishment, it could be a great place.
My fur babies love the bones and smoked chicken heads from here. The meat is quality and the ground hamburger is good quality.
Genuine local butcher shop filled with local meats. Always a 10/10 experience here, meat is top notch, very fairly priced for the quality you get, and the selection is incredible. Always fresh. You HAVE to get some of their milk, if not for you then grab some for your pets. It tastes amazing.

Best butcher in Phoenix, AZ! My favorite place to go for 100% grass fed regenerative beef. They also have great options for pork and chicken. Brandon goes above and beyond to help you out and is more than willing to answer any questions. Highly recommend! Not to mention the price is only $8 per pound for the beef. You can’t find anything that healthy at that price into the country!! What a steal!!
Rebuilding the food system, from the farm up
If you’re looking for cheap, disgusting and poor quality meat, do NOT come here. You will ONLY find the best quality meat in Arizona. The staff is extremely friendly, welcoming and is willing to educate you on how high quality and how much attention is put into the sourcing of all of their meat and other products. I recently switched my entire diet to an animal based diet and Underbelly 100% supports my health goals with providing the best grass fed, grass finished beef- the highest quality chicken and pork, and other things like Cheese, raw milk, and healthy butters I need for my diet. My family eats only the highest quality meat and Underbelly has never disappointed. I will not shop at another butcher or get my meat from another place in Arizona as long as I live here. I cannot recommend their fatty, rich, delicious and rock solid meats more. 10/10 recommend.
Wow, what a special find today. We went and had great conversation with Brandon. He was awesome. We talked about where they get their beef and pork, and they have unpasteurized milk, love that! Feed yourself, know where your food comes from, be healthy, research, and remember you are what you eat. Super excited about the meat, both beef and pork really sad that they were out of the homemade chorizo and breakfast sausage. Just gives me excuse to have to go back. Thank you, Brandon and Dustin. Also, if anyone’s interested, they do have duck eggs. I WOULD RECOMMEND.
This a mini treasure in downtown Phoenix. Grass fed, grass finished meats. A professional butcher and wide selection of cuts in the display case. Unbelievably delicious lunch sandwiches, even if a little expensive at $14 but it was fresh, well prepped and flavorful. No game meats here, though. No elk, boar, bison, etc. There’s even a selection of wine and great French butter. A whole animal butchery with product from only top local ranchers and farmers careful about producing the best meats possible. Parking can be tough around noon time in the outdoor parking area in the back… It’s worth the effort!
