A former chef in prestigious restaurants who has grown certified organic produce at Blue Sky since 1995.
Blue Sky Organic Farms is a certified organic family farm in Litchfield Park, Arizona, growing produce and pasture raised eggs since 1995, with an on-site farm store and Farm Box program.
Blue Sky Organic Farms is a certified organic family farm on the west side of Phoenix, growing since 1995.
David, the farmer, cooked in prestigious restaurants before he traded the kitchen for the fields, on the view that an exceptional dish starts with an exceptional ingredient. The farm is certified by California Certified Organic Farmers, grows everything from organic, non-GMO, untreated seed under USDA National Organic Program rules, and holds the USDA Harmonized GAP Plus audit for food safety. Beside the vegetables there is a pasture raised laying flock, which lays the farm's certified organic nest run eggs and lives out its retirement here, plus an ever growing herd of Nigerian and Nubian goats sharing the pasture with ducks, a goose and rescue horses, donkeys and pigs. The farm cannot sell the goats' milk, so it turns it into Blue Sky goat milk caramels.
Buy direct at the on-site Farm Store, the green building with the bright yellow door at the end of the gravel road, or through the Farm Box program, formerly a CSA, which is a weekly or bi-weekly share of the harvest. Their produce also reaches the Downtown Phoenix and Gilbert farmers markets, local restaurants, and independent retailers and co-ops around Arizona. The Farm Store leads with their own harvest and then a local shelf: honey from a local beekeeper whose hives sit on the farm, fresh bread and cheese from nearby makers, and locally sourced grass fed meat and raw milk from other producers. The store accepts EBT SNAP and takes part in Double Up Food Bucks. There is no delivery, though pre-ordered Farm Boxes and retail orders can be collected from pickup points around the valley.

Always fresh veggies and the customer service is great!
These people are a complete joke. What started as trying to get basic info for a paid CSA pickup turned into a masterclass in terrible business. Every provided contact line was either dead or ignored, and messages were repeatedly left on read. I previously had to drive 40 minutes out of my way just to talk to someone in person because their customer service doesn't exist. Look at their other bad reviews: a clear history of yelling at customers with hearing impairments, ignoring shoppers, and hiding behind "small farm struggles" to justify garbage behavior. Stealing people's money and laughing on the phone isn't community supported agricultureโit's fraudulent, and a surefire way to lose community trust! Period.

Cool place great food. But just like every other food distributor in the u.s.a organic food cost more typical u.s.a.... in order to eat healthy it cost more money. This place is very expensive. You think it would be cheaper but its not. This is for rich people not middle class people.
I like getting my milk here but I like to make sure to call to see if they have milk before driving 20 minutes to get there. They will not answer their phones and block your number if you call more than once, really bad customer service!! Would rather drive to inspire farms in Mesa, they always have milk and much better customer service!!
What an amazing place! We were lucky enough to see two baby goats being born! Great produce and bread. A bit pricey, but itโs nice to support such a great farm. $1 cups of food to feed the goats, pigs, and chickens.
Wonderful experience at a lovely farm. Great produce supplies and a gift shop with some lovely organic treats. Baby goats Weโre available to watch and Pet when I was there. Now they have baby pigs! They are adorable couldnโt have asked for a nicer day! I have some great pictures, but Iโm not sure where to put them. If I figure it out, I will add them to this review.
My friends & I visited Blue Sky today for the first time & really enjoyed our visit! The cashier was very friendly, the store was clean and well stocked, and the animals outside were adorable. They had a great selection of local food from veggies/fruit to meat, cheese, and bread. The prices were very reasonable considering that they are local products. We will be back again, thank you!
Wanting to support local farms more and eat more organically we checked out this place. Some good and some needs improvement. ๐ Clean, well maintained. Animals seem well taken care of. ๐ Excellent produce albeit smaller than what we expected. ๐ Family friendly, great for the whole family to visit. ๐ The staff was friendly that was there but seems understaffed for the front office aspect. ๐If you want fresh eggs, must get there when they open as they run out quickly. This seems to be an issue all-over right now but you should be aware up front. ๐We tried to call to confirm if they had eggs and to ensure the hours were as published but no one answered the phone during open hours. Just rang and rang. They should either publish this on social media or update accordingly what they are out of each day and when it can be expected back (i.e. raw milk, eggs, etc.).
