Claravale Farm has produced raw milk since 1927, making it one of the oldest raw dairies in the country.
From its home at Paicines in San Benito County, California, the farm bottles milk from Jersey cows directly, often selling it the day it leaves the udder. Nothing is pasteurised, homogenised, standardised or adulterated: with the exception of removing cream for the nonfat line, nothing is added and nothing is taken away.
The cows are fed hay, pasture and grain, housed in comfortable quarters and never given hormones or other substances to raise production. Cleanliness standards for raw milk are stricter than for pasteurised products, and the dairy is inspected regularly by the California Department of Agriculture and the state veterinarian. Raw Jersey milk, nonfat milk and raw goat milk go out in returnable glass bottles to independent grocery stores, buying groups and farmers markets across California, and the farm also offers a farm stay.

Their milk bottles are not properly sanitized, some of them come with inside stains from previous usage. I hope they use steam and good detergent to wash them!
