JAN Farms is a family raw milk herdshare with a small Jersey herd in California's Central Valley, with weekly pickups in Livermore, Modesto and Patterson, plus raw unfiltered honey.
JAN Farms is a small family herdshare run by Jeremy and Anita in California's Central Valley.
Their journey started four years ago when they began questioning the nutrition in their children's diet and the unknown ingredients on food labels, which led them to raw milk and to seeing food as medicine. They keep a small herd of Jersey cows and share the milk through a raw milk herdshare, where members own a share of the herd, pay for its monthly care, and receive the milk in return.
A full share brings a gallon a week and a half share brings a half gallon, with a one time fee to buy into the herd. Weekly pickups run in Livermore, Modesto and Patterson, and the farm also sells raw unfiltered honey by the pint mason jar.
